So as of yesterday (Thursday) I am no longer eating only veg, 2 bits of fruit, lean protein, and low fat dairy. I have added in a few whole grains. Like yesterday I had half of an English muffin for breakfast and then today I had a chicken pita for dinner. Not to bad I don't think. I couldn't cope with the exhaustion anymore....I'm only human : p . I am also keeping track of calories. I have heard once that Carrie Underwood gives herself a star in her food diary on days she does well...maybe I will do that too! It obviously works for her!! I'm not necessarily keeping track to stay under a certain amount, but more for just seeing how much I am actually eating. Most of the time I am eating far more than I actually need. I really want to change my attitude towards food. Its something that fuels my body. Not something to cure boredom, to make me momentarily happy, or a reward. Well, it can be a reward....but we shouldn't hold it on a podium like that :) What I mean is we shouldn't feel like we have to starve ourselves to eat something yummy!
On another note, I have got my running shoes in the mail! They are very nice! They are New Balance ones I got on EBay for $28, when they retail at $120. I bought two pairs! They are really good stabilizing shoes as I tend to pronate (run on the inside of my foot) and this makes my back hurt even worse than normal. I am just waiting for my MP3 player to come in the mail and I will be a proper runner again....now I just need to keep it up!

Last night I ran a mile (in the rain...pure dedication!) in 12:20....slow! But I actually felt like it was bearable. Then today Charlie and I went out again and I ran the same mile and literally thought I was going to die. I had to stop and walk twice! And I got a nice long break when Charlie decided to do a nice long pee-pee :) I also got a break when my hair tie decided to break and Charlie tripped me up. So as you can see not the most successful day of running! But I will go out again tomorrow with the wee man!
